The times they are a changin'

WHAT A~ NIGHT! WHAT A CAMPAIGN! Locally we saw the second biggest vote for Labour in Suffolk Coastal since 1983. Nationally we saw the biggest vote share increase since the landslide election of 1945!

Vast numbers of people in Suffolk Coastal and across the UK have clearly been inspired in a way not seen for generations - inspired to vote for an alternative to the last seven years of perpetual hardship and suffering. Instead, in Labour, they see a positive vision for the future and a clear plan to deliver it.

Britain has sent out the resounding message. We dared to believe in something again - we dared to dream!

All ages, genders, races, religions and sexual orientations stood together and voted Labour for a better future. They crushed the Tory and political commentariat fallacy that Labour and our leader Jeremy Corbyn were unelectable and would fail. They suggested Labour would lose many seats. How wrong they were! At the next election, I believe that Suffolk Coastal will elect its first Labour MP. I believe the UK will elect a Labour government.

Voters are sick of low living standards, a struggling NHS, deprived schools and under resourced emergency services. Times are changing. Britain wants a government that stands for the many and not the few. A positive change is unfolding!
